Marymount International School London is a member of the
RSHM Network of Schools around the world.
In 1907, Mother Joseph Butler, RSHM, established the first Marymount School in Tarrytown, New York. The current network includes Schools in Europe and North and South America.
Education of the whole person is the general aim of all RSHM Schools. Guided by the "Goals and Criteria for the RSHM Network of Schools," adopted in 1999, administrators, faculty, and staff, together with governing boards and parents, work with students:
to foster a personal relationship with God,
to instill a lifelong love of learning,
to encourage and affirm personal growth,
to create unity in diversity,
to awaken a consciousness of social justice,
and to fulfill the RSHM mission, "That all may have life."
Marymount London's School Goal for 2010-2011 is Goal 4, "to create unity in diversity."
Every year members of the Network of Schools meet to review how the goals guide our global community and how to further the mission worldwide. The 2010 Network of Schools Conference entitled "Responding to the Needs of Our Times" was held in June at Marymount International School Rome.
