Marymount International London is seeking a Director of Admissions to begin on July 1, 2018. As part of the Senior Leadership team, the Director of Admissions provides leadership for and management of all aspects of the recruitment, admissions, and enrolment process to deliver the School’s Admissions strategies. 

The Director of Admissions supports prospective families in their decision process understanding the values of Marymount as a Catholic, International, and IB Day and Boarding School for girls ages 11-18.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years admissions experience in a university or secondary school with an international and/or Catholic school setting.  S/he possesses at least a Bachelor’s degree and supervisory/management experience.  S/he demonstrates excellent writing and overall communication skills, a capacity for organization, innovation, and flexibility.  A team player with a collaborative style, the ideal candidate has highly developed interpersonal skills and confidence with technology and various forms of social media, data base use and analysis, and general website design.

Job Description

  • Delivers the School’s strategy for day and Boarding admissions

  • Collaborates with appropriate stakeholders on strategic planning around enrolment trends and goals, with a particular emphasis on Boarding

  • Works with other members of the School Leadership teams

  • Organizes specific retention efforts at key grade levels and meets or exceeds enrolment goals for all target recruitment areas

  • Works directly with the Director of Communication on marketing messages, materials, and representation of the School in the local, regional, and international arenas

  • Prepares and maintains the Admissions Register, statistics and interprets these statistics when appropriate for the Senior Leadership and Management Teams, the faculty, and Board of Governors

  • Provides prospective families with tours of the campus and follows up with information as needed/requested

  • Supports families with the application process and where necessary visa applications

  • Coordinates all enrolment activities including but not limited to special events (Open Days, informational coffees) involving prospective families and students, works with agents, attends local, national and international school shows

  • Promotes good relationships with outside institutions in the UK and Overseas with the aim of attracting mission appropriate students and families

  • As member of the all-school Leadership Team, the Director of Admissions works closely with other school leaders, led by the Headmistress, to implement the overall school initiatives, manage the budget, and develop the School’s policies and calendar
