Universities

 

 

Marymount prides itself on finding the right college or university for each student. The students are involved in a wide and relevant curriculum to prepare them for college and university entrance. A full time College and University Counsellor guides students in the university application process, helping establish specific requirements for admission to the university or college of the student's choice and giving guidance on specific courses and the writing of personal statements. Students are encouraged to attend university and college open days and are given opportunities at school to practice interview technique. Parents are encouraged to participate fully in this process through regular contact with the school.

 

Students are given information in classes and individual support on applications through the UCAS system for Universities in the United Kingdom.

 

All students considering universities in the United States or Canada take the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT) in Grade 11. The school also serves as a testing centre for the American College Testing (ACT) Programme and the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT).
