BEZIERS FRANCE

From 11th to 16th October 2012, there will be a Friendly Gathering for the Senior (over 50s) European Marymount Alumnae to be held in Beziers, France (The Mother House of the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary).  It is being organised by the French Association.   Wine tasting, local festive meals, guided visits, sight-seeing, spiritual relections and other wonderful events are being arranged.   If you are interested in joining the gathering, please contact Sarah Key before 17th February 2012.   She will furnish you with more information.

 

PAST REUNIONS

  On 14th and 15th October 2011 the annual alumnae reunion met for a glorious weekend of reminiscing and fun!   Wine and canapes were shared during the Friday night party with over sixty people present.   On the Saturday, alumnae and their families were entertained by our current students and also thrilled by a piano recital by one of our own alumnae, Mayuko Kezuka, Class of '01.  It was an amazing weekend!

 

Marymount University, Arlington, Virginia Marymount London Reunion, Arlington was held on Sunday 26 June 2011 12-4pm It was an opportunity to meet Sarah Gallagher and her team to meet the RSHM Sisters to hear about Marymount today to reconnect with fellow Alumnae to socialize with Marymount friends families were welcomed

 

 

 

October 2010 Reunion at Marymount   What fun we had!   Around sixty people gathered at Marymount over the weekend with tears and laughter.   Memories were exchanged with classmates and teachers and current news shared.  The classes most represented were the Class of 2000 and the Class of 1985 (well done Class Reps!) although many other alumnae attended the celebrations.   Current students entertained and excelled and a good time was had by all!   Click here to view the photos   - Sarah Key     International Reunions - If you are able to host an event in your home country, please contact Sarah Key at alumnae@marymountlondon.com

Thursday 11^th June 2009, London

 

A get-together for the recent graduates was held at Miriam Twaalfhoven's, Class of '77, home in London. The new graduates enjoyed drinks and canapes on Miriam's roof terrace under the setting evening sun.

 

 

New York, USA Monday evening 27th April 2009 in New York City, New York, USA   The happy group shared wine and canapes at Marymount School on 5th Avenue. "The alumnae gathering was lovely and Marymount New York was a wonderful host!"

 

 

What an amazing atmosphere there was at the evening party on Friday! Many of the Alumnae gathered had not seen each other since graduation and their joy was wonderful to behold. The Class of '88 should take a special bow (particularly their Class Reps) and are quite a record to beat for future anniversary classes. Half of the original class came (22), and the majority were from far flung parts of the world.

 

The next day on campus was equally exciting with fabulous entertainment from our current students and a delicious three course lunch in the middle.

Los Angeles, CA, USA - 29th June 2008 A small group of Marymount London alumnae, friends and faculty, gathered for brunch at Marymount High School in Los Angeles, CA. Joined by Marymount New York alumnae for the morning reception, everyone enjoyed sharing stories across the years and network schools. The reunion was a first for the West Coast, a wonderful morning to remember!

 

A reunion for alumnae, friends and parents was held in Tokyo, Japan on Thursday 10th January, in conjunction with a visit Sister Kathleen made to Japan. Over fifty people in the area gathered together over a meal to remember their time at Marymount and to share current news. Thank you to all who came and especially those who helped organize the event.

 

This past year was very special as it marked the 100^th anniversary of the founding of the first Marymount school on 8th December 1907. Members of the RSHM family worldwide gathered together in celebration in New York City. A Solemn Evening Prayer of Thanksgiving took place in the Butler Memorial Chapel on Friday 7^th December, and the Eucharistic Celebration followed by a reception at the St. Ignatius Loyola Church took place on Saturday 8^th December. As written on the invitation from New York: “[this event is] a celebration of a unique tradition that lives in each one of us… a prayer that we may carry it forward for the life of the world.”

 

As a part of the celebrations, Marymount London held a reunion on Saturday 8^th December, from 1:30-4:00pm, at Marymount Manhattan College. The event was a great success, alumnae and friends coming together from across the USA.
