Annual Fund
The Annual Fund 2009-2010 had two targets: the Sr Mary Catherine Walsh Bursary Fund and the General Fund for School related improvements. Thank you all to your very generous contributions.
Current students have already benefited from the Bursary Fund and two projectors and screens were installed in the Auditorium.
In 2010-2011 we will continue to raise funds for Bursaries as well as £40,000 for a new Spots Hall Floor. Marymount needs to raise the funds for a good, sprung, wooden floor in the Sports Hall which provides cushioning, is safer for our girls' joints and will bring us in line with our competitors' venues; our current floor was built in 1984 and no longer meets the European norm. The
Sr Mary Catherine Walsh Bursary Fund
will enable students, who would otherwise be unable to do so, to attend Marymount because of means tested Bursaries.
The true love of learning is at the heart of the education we provide at Marymount. It seems a fitting tribute that we establish the Bursary Fund to honour Sister Mary Catherine Walsh, RSHM, a well loved teacher and friend to many Marymount students, who during her years at Marymount remained dedicated to the aims and philosophy of our mission. |
