UKMT Mathematics Challenge

A record 36% of Marymount students taking the exam received certificates in the most recent United Kingdom Mathematics Trust Intermediate Math Challenge! These certificates included 15 Gold, 10 Silver and 11 Bronze. Ten students were invited to participate in the next round due to their excellent scores. Of these, six were invited to take the Kangaroo paper as they were among the top 2000 pupils in the competition. The other four were invited to take the prestigious Olympiad paper as they were in the top 400-500group.

Indeed an excellent group of young mathematicians!  Congratulations to all of the students!

On Friday 19^th March, two Grade 7 students and two Grade 8 students will take part in the UKMT Team Math Challenge at the Trinity School. The Team Challenge consists of relays, mathematical puzzles, pattern analysis and challenging word problems.
