UKMT Mathematics Awards

Marymount Mathematician receives special invitation to United Kingdom Mathematics Trust (UKMT) summer institute -

 

A record 36% Marymount students who took this year’s UKMT Intermediate Math Challenge in the Spring received certificates of achievement. These certificates included 15 Gold, 10 Silver and 11 Bronze. Ten students were invited to participate in the next round due to their excellent scores. Of these, four were invited to take the prestigious Olympiad paper as they were in the top 500 students nationwide.

 

One student in Grade 9, gained such a high score on the Olympiad Paper that she was chosen to take part in a special mathematics summer institute run by the UKMT and by invitation only. Only 40 students in the entire country are selected for this weeklong programme.
