Grade 6 students took part in their annual spiritual retreat this week, which was a wonderful way for them to pause and reflect.
The students were led through the day by Mrs Burke, our Spiritual Life Coordinator, who encouraged the group to come together to celebrate our diverse community.
The group shared stories of epic holidays and challenging moments, and built mini rafts to carry the 12 disciples. Mrs Burke shared stories of phenomenal women who have passionately fought for children in times of despair. The students were then presented with the meaning of their names and used these meanings to illustrate on bunting.
The day came to an end by making prayer bracelets in our Chapel and reminding Grade 6:
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord will be with you wherever you go.”
