We are extremely delighted to report that Grade 11 students Run Bei and Hye Won received Silver awards, and Omosade and Sifon received Bronze awards in this year’s edition of the Senior Physics Challenge of the British Physics Olympiads.
This is a first for Marymount London, and we could not be prouder of our young Physicists!
The 2021 Senior Physics Challenge, which involved 5,270 students from 380 schools worldwide, is a prestigious competition launched by the University of Oxford, and is aimed at Physics students from secondary schools all over the world to encourage the study of physics and to recognise excellence in Physics students.
The competition is a stepping-stone towards the BPhO and BAAO Challenges next year and provides a unique opportunity for students to extend their involvement in the subject beyond the lessons, while strengthening their personal statements when applying to degrees in STEM subjects.
Well done to our girls and we look forward to reporting on the results of Grade 10’s Intermediate Physics Challenge soon!
