Led by an enthusiastic group of editors, the newspaper staff will provide the Marymount community with up-to-date school, local, and global news as well as opinion pieces, creative work, and features. Staff members will learn about topics ranging from ethics in journalism to the role of the media in contemporary society, and they will have the opportunity to meet young people working in journalism today. Alongside encouraging student engagement with current events, The Marymount Messenger promises to improve the standard of students’ writing and critical thinking skills as they learn to assess and present facts in clear, unbiased articles. We cannot wait to get started.
