At Marymount International School London, graduation is more than a milestone—it’s a meaningful moment to reflect on shared experiences, strong values, and the journey ahead. Rooted in a tradition of global education, the RSHM and personal growth, this year’s graduation speeches captured the spirit that define our community.
This speech was delivered by a proud Marymount alumna and current member of our Board of Governors, whose words resonated deeply with the Class of 2025. Her close ties to the school added a personal and powerful perspective, connecting past and present in a way that inspired all who attended.
She reflected on her own time as a student—walking the same halls and sharing the same traditions—and spoke about the importance of empathy, integrity, and making a positive impact in the world. Her message reminded our graduates that they are part of a lasting legacy shaped by purpose, resilience, and a commitment to others.
This was more than a farewell; it was a celebration of everything our students have become—and all they are ready to achieve.

Good afternoon everyone
It is great to be here with you today, sharing such an important moment of your life. Not just for the students but for the whole family.
As I look at all of you, preparing to step forward into the next chapter of your lives, I remember my graduation as if it were yesterday, in this same building. The building itself was a big step; it had only been built a couple years before, and we were very proud of the move from doing the gym class in the auditorium to being able to host tournaments! Who would have thought my niece would be a student during the recent renovation? Reminding me how important building for the future is.
Which brings me to what being part of Marymount means:
At the heart of that journey are the values of the RSHM, whose mission has always guided this school. “That all may have life,” is more than a phrase. It’s a commitment. A way of living with intention, compassion, and courage.
These values taught me that faith is not just belief but action, that diversity is not something to tolerate but something to celebrate, and that leadership is not about standing out but lifting others up.
They taught me to love learning, not for the grades but for growth, to lead with integrity, to reflect with honesty, and to always strive to understand the world and my place in it.
Perhaps most importantly, I learned that we are not here just for ourselves. We are here to serve, support and build. We are called to be people of justice, integrity and hope, whether that’s at home, in classrooms, hospitals, boardrooms, or anywhere else life might take us.
The sisters of the RSHM have dedicated their lives to this calling. Quietly, consistently, and with deep conviction, they have educated generations, empowering us to go out and shape the world.
So today, as you graduate, I invite you to carry that legacy forward. Be the next link in this extraordinary chain. Think of how you can help this legacy continue so that many more in the future can be part of this unique experience, which may even be the next generation of your family!
Let your life be a testament to their work. And wherever you go, help ensure that their mission lives on, that their mission continues for future generations, but also wider in the hearts and actions of those who believe that love, justice and service are the highest forms of leadership.
Congratulations, Class of 2025. Go forth with hope, purpose, and the RSHM spirit always within you.
Thank you.
