A story of faith, education and global connection

Founded in Béziers, France, in 1849, the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary have carried a mission of education, service and human dignity across the world. Marymount International School London has been a part of the story since 1955, guided by the belief that all people should “have life and have it to the full”.

The RSHM congregation was founded on 24 February 1849 by Father Jean Gailhac and Appollonie Pelissier Cure, later known as Mother St Jean.

Global network of RSHM Schools

The RSHM Global Network of Schools is something truly special: a worldwide community of students and educators connected by a shared history, mission and belief that every person should be able to live life to the full. From London to Paris, Rome, New York, Mexico, Colombia, Brazil and beyond, each school has its own culture and character, yet all are united by the same commitment to learning, justice, service and global understanding. Being part of the network means belonging to something much bigger than one campus—a vibrant international family that creates opportunities for collaboration, friendship and shared experiences across borders.
