Marymount International School London is proud to celebrate the exceptional academic success of one of its Class of 2025 graduates, who achieved an impressive 44 out of 45 points in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme. This remarkable score places her among the highest-achieving IB students worldwide.

This extraordinary accomplishment reflects not only her academic excellence and dedication but also the strong support of the Marymount community, which fosters academic ambition, student wellbeing, and a commitment to global citizenship.

In her own words, the student reflects on her IB journey and the shared effort behind her success:

“On results day, a time which supposedly rewards individual achievement, the idiom, ‘it takes a village,’ was at the forefront of my mind. Achieving a 44 was not an individual effort, but rather a reflection of the collective support and guidance provided by my teachers and the wider Marymount community. My time at Marymount blends hard work, lessons and deadlines, with, and, as importantly, mornings with the Class of 2025, sports trips, co-curricular meetings, and countless laughs and memories. Being able to realise my academic potential whilst participating in events such as the THIMUN conference in the Hague, tennis tournaments in Greece, and costume competitions for spirit week created a unique, fulfilling, yet enriching high school experience.

Marymount’s values and receiving this result in the IB have reinforced my commitment to continuous learning, shaping the next steps in my academic and professional journey. Looking ahead, I will be attending the University of St Andrews in September, studying International Relations and Theology. I am also eager to advance my proficiency in Mandarin and skills as a tennis player. As a precursor to my tertiary studies, I have been working with a political NGO and think tank in a managerial role. I am excited to see what lies ahead and will be forever grateful to Marymount and the Class of 2025.”

Alexandra Iley – (Marymount International School London – Graduate)

Marymount International School London congratulates this outstanding graduate and the entire Class of 2025 for their accomplishments. The school remains committed to nurturing academic achievement, character development, and global citizenship in every student.
