Active Lifestyles, Confident Futures

At our all-girls, International Baccalaureate, boarding school, sports and physical education play a pivotal role in promoting physical health, emotional wellbeing, and academic success. Starting in Middle School, our programmes inspire girls to embrace a fit and active lifestyle while fostering life-long habits of health, self-care, and resilience.

We offer a diverse range of sports throughout the year, including:

Autumn Term:

  • Volleyball
  • Soccer
  • Cross Country
  • Social Tennis

Winter Term:

  • Basketball
  • Social Tennis

Summer Term:

  • Tennis
  • Strength and Conditioning sessions
  • Varsity Badminton

Competitive and Collaborative Opportunities

As members of the London Schools Sports Association (LSSA), our teams compete against many schools  in weekly fixtures. Varsity teams also travel internationally to destinations like Madrid, Lisbon, and Barcelona for tournaments hosted by the International School Sports Association.

Each spring, Middle School students participate in the RSHM Sports Festival, a three-day celebration of athleticism and camaraderie across our Global Network of schools. Students who have a specialist sport are supported as much as possible, whether that be through adjustments to their timetable, or opportunities to participate in local meets and tournaments.

Building a Healthy Mind and Body

Beyond physical activity, our programme emphasises holistic wellbeing, including:

  • Fuelling our bodies with the correct nutrients
  • Reflecting on the need to balance academics with physical activity
  • Strength and conditioning to support mental and physical resilience.

By fostering a love for movement and healthy living, we empower our students to thrive, setting the foundation for confident and accomplished young women.

The Benefits of Sport at Our School

Our students gain more than just physical fitness—they learn teamwork, perseverance, and respect. Through structured activities and competitive opportunities, they develop the confidence to push their limits, work collaboratively, and value a healthy, balanced lifestyle.

Why Sport Matters for Girls

Research by the Girls’ School Association reveals that girls who participate in sports are:

  • 91% more likely to report higher levels of self-confidence.
  • 80% more likely to develop strong leadership skills.
  • 76% more likely to say they feel a sense of belonging and community.

These findings reflect the transformative power of sports in shaping confident, capable young women ready to take on life’s challenges.
