At Marymount, we want our new community to feel prepared for a new school experience. We have created this, a suite of information booklets for your reference from student essentials to our boarding school handbook. Hard copies of these will be made available at the back-to-school evening at the beginning of September.

Marymount Parents' Association

The Marymount Parents’ Association exists to engage the Marymount families (including guardians), encourage a sense of community, and promote philanthropy amongst parents and guardians to further the aims of Marymount International School London.

The PA aims to achieve this mission by:

  • Running events aimed at the parent community, with the support of the Development Office, to encourage parent body cohesion within and between Grades;
  • Fundraising for key School priorities with the support of the Development Office;
  • Contributing to community communications such as the community magazine – Marymount Matters – and School communications where relevant.

To find out more, there are three Parents’ Association (PA) events as soon as you arrive:

  1. The PA Welcome Barbecue: held at school on the Saturday before school starts (this year Saturday, 2 September between 12-4pm) this is a chance to meet fellow parents before the girls even start school. All Grades are colour-coded, so you are sure to spot fellow Grade 6 parents, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming for the whole family. Bring siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents to this lovely event, filled with food, fun and family!
  2. Whole-school PA coffee morning: Friday, 8 September 8.30-9.30am at School. All are welcome to these monthly meetings, which feature guest speakers from the school. Mrs Giblin always attends these meetings and gives a short round-up of what is happening at school. For the first meeting we will have a welcome from the Student Council President, and an introduction to how the School Council works (and how your daughter can get involved).
  3. Grade 6 coffee morning: Monday 18 September, 8-9am at School. Open to all of Grade 6 so you can get to know one another!

Grade 7 coffee morning: Tuesday 19 September, 8-9am at School. Open to all of Grade 7 so you can get to know one another!

Grade 8 coffee morning: Wednesday 20 September, 8-9am at School. Open to all of Grade 8 so you can get to know one another!

Grade 9 coffee morning: Thursday 21 September, 8-9am at School. Open to all of Grade 9 so you can get to know one another!

Grade 10 coffee morning: Friday 22 September, 8-9am at School. Open to all of Grade 10 so you can get to know one another!

Grade 11 & 12 College Counsellor’s coffee morning: Wednesday 13 September, 8-9.30am. Open to all Grades 10-12 parents, so you can get to know one another!
